Our Earth under Threat

After learning about near-Earth objects (NEOs) and the potential danger they pose to the Earth, students will take on the role of crisis teams across the globe. Working together, teams will solve problems to identify an NEO. As their calculations confirm that this object in on collision course, groups will need to discuss and decide on a response strategy to help avert disaster. This session includes a demonstration of a tabletop comet.
