Satellites

Through interactive tasks, students will learn what satellites are, where they are found, and what they are used for. Students will also decode binary; learning the method through which satellites transfer information. The use of satellites in observing and maintaining the health of our planet is a focus in this workshop and activities include observing heat with infra-red light and a model altimetry task.
