Primary Teacher Training
The National Space Centre is pleased to offer a CPD session suitable for primary school teachers.
The course will explore the following topics:
- Planning a mission to Space – Rockets and Forces
- Astronauts in Space – Materials and their properties and food nutrition and health
- The Solar System – The Earth and beyond
Learning Outcomes
Participants will be able to:-
- raise the profile of science across the primary years through embedding science in a creative cross-curricular way, with a focus on Space
- create short/medium term plans that deepen children’s understanding use a range of creative approaches to science through the context of Space
The day will also include a planetarium show and a presenter lead ‘Tour of the Night Sky’, both in our Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.
